The Process

The first step in building your McPherson begins by choosing tonewood that meets your sonic preference and playing style. Below you’ll find a Tonewood Guide that provides tonal characteristics for each wood species to help you choose appropriately. Once in contact with a custom shop representative, you’ll discuss the rest of the personalizations and features that make your guitar unique to you. A McPherson Custom Shop build is currently a 6-7 month process. A down payment of 50% is required to initiate the build, with the remainder due at completion.
